Fuzzygoat was officially formed as a UK based Limited company on the 17th October 2002. Founded by Gary Coulter and Caroline Garrett. Fuzzygoat provides a powerful combination of digital content creation and film experience. Based at Shepperton Film Studios we are ideally situated to work closely with studio based productions or to participate directly in any necessary on set work. The primary animation tools used by Fuzzygoat Limited are Maya, Lightwave and Modo, together with a number of off the shelf plugins and proprietary inhouse tools.

Prior to forming the company Fuzzygoat’s founders were instrumental in designing developing and running the Magic Camera and later MillFilm’s Lightwave 3D pipeline in addition to serving as Digital Supervisors and Supervising Animators on a number of major motion pictures spanning ten years of production. Fuzzygoat specialises in visualising, planning and creating complex and dynamic shots for film and television. Working with a visual effects supervisor or director at the start of production we are able to take design information from the art department allowing us to recreate locations, sets, actors and props within a 3d environment. Once constructed the virtual environment allows shots to be planned and choreographed well in advance of actual shooting, allowing decisions about visual effects components like miniatures, bluescreen work, matte paintings and digital elements to be taken well in advance of shooting. In addition to visualisation work Fuzzygoat also has the capability to create and composite 3d elements as finals, either working directly with plate photography or as a fully computer generated shot.
